spacing of talons?
I am using 1/2in and 3/4in pex and supporting it using talons.
What is the max. spacing between talons?
I have noticed the the 3/4in pex that I have running down the joist warps a lot when it heats up.
I have the spacing at about every 2ft.
I have also run my 1/2in pex for the radiant heating in the joist space up against the floor. Once again the talons are spaced about every 2ft.

Most manufacturers suggest every two or three feet and put no talons on the return radius. It is not uncommon for some slack to appear when warming up. I believe that is one reason why the plates have become more popular and of course the second would be better temp transfer. If there is a third reason for popularity of plates it would be the insulation can go against the plates instead of leaving an air space between the insulation and the floor/tubing.
