Repiping my boiler/Looking for tips ideas most efficent
My boiler is only about a year or 2 old. I am moving my boiler in my basement and would like to have some ideas for re piping it. I installed it my self and Had to redo a few things after posting pictures on here.
I have a
peerless 4 section with riello oil burner
3 zone home
indirect water heater peerless 60 gal.
I have all taco circs with built in flowchecks.
6 zone switch relay
honeywell aqustat l7224u
beckett heat manager
what size pipes to use
I would like recommendations on how to install the indirect
should i have a bypass loop
where should i install expansion tank and fill valve water shutoff
should i use primary zone with secondary?

Peerless only recommends a bypass loop with a return under 150 degrees. They dont mention anything about P/S piping, is there a reason for this? Should i pipe using P/S since all my 3 zones should be 180 baseboard heating. 4th zone is indirect water heater. Ive been reading the other thread on P/S and found this link. i would either use 1 drawing or 4th drawing.

I like drawing 4, I like system loops and injection piping.
Move the circs to the supply side as well as the air elimination and expansion tank.
Unless the boiler is a restrictive mod con then I would pump away from the boiler.
It will cost you a new taco zone panel, but using zone valves will save you electricity in the long run.
