HB SMITH troubleshooting still..... need a little direction
Ok, this is a contiuation to a thread i started a few months back regarding my troubles with my furnace/steam heat and boiler. Which had stopped working in it normal capacity and at night turning off and not coming back on until it was about 10deg below the thermo.. setting. I increased the pressuretrol setting to 2.5-3 which seemed to work but i need to deal with the problem so i replaced the pigtail late last night and since then the furnace only ran once so i'm sitting here trying to get it back on...... I was lead to believe that was the problem due to the gage reading psi's of 30 and above when the furnace ran. So i thought there mayhave been some clogging. Now the gage is on zero and the furnace is still not coming on.
What should i do next. I included a photo if it worked:

I know the blue Ln indicating the low water shutoff which conn to the control switch and the thermos conn(green line) and the pressuretrol unit (redline) and the boiler temp box (black line) are all in series together.
But even now as my water levels are fine and have been a few other times I switch the control box (the one thats open showing all that wiring) off and on and manually add water as soon as that water run the furnace magically cuts on! any ideas

So i'm tired of troubleshooting and i need some sleep seaming how i been up since yesterday morning. But at least i have heat. It's not a power problem or my thermo... its either the pressuretrol unit, or the base tube connected to the pigtail on one end and the boiler within the furnace on the other (looking at the first pic i sent its in the area of that red dot and it goes down another 3in). Or it can be my low water cut off that has been out of order since 06 I've been keeping the water level manually. What i did was bypass both units running the power straight to the burner, which also means that i will be sleeping down here for a few hours. My hunch is that i have to change out the pressuretrol unit. Could this be the culprit. On the other hand I'm watching that psi gage on my furnace and it is at 21 and I haven't had this on long maybe 15min tops. DOes that seem un-usual? Would that mean that either my gage is broke? Or is this a direct result of the pressuretrol malfunctions because of some internal blockage?
