circulating pump question

I have a hot water boiler system for baseboard heat that has a grundfos pump. It seems as if the pump is operating, but I notice that the cap on the front of it does not rotate. Since the cover around the cap has rotation arrows marked, it seems like the cap is suppose to turn. Should it turn?
Thanks

Nope, that is a screw that covers the end of the shaft. If you remove the screw you can then turn the shaft. I don't remember if it has a screwdriver slot or a hex (Allen) in the end of the shaft.

Sometimes those pumps will lightly seize if they haven't run for some time.
