peerless boiler wb-4 needs frequent reset

Hello to the forum.
This is my first post and it is a question. I have an eighteen year old Peerless wb-4 boiler that keeps randomly kicking out on me. I mean that I will not randomly have hot water and I have to go downstairs and push the reset button next to the red light that will be glowing. After I hit the button, she fires up and all is well till the next time, which won't be for a day or two or whatever. I have had routine maintenance done including cleanings on a pretty regular basis.
Can anyone here tell me if this is an easy fix for a homeowner, or is it a bigger job?
Thanks to anyone who can assist me, Eric

Since there is a multitude of things that can cause the boiler to lock out I suggest you get a professional in to look the situation over.

Can't add much to rbeck, and I'm unfamiliar with your particular boiler.

But, modern electronic boiler controls are somewhat like your personal computer - what causes it to start crashing often?

Some newer boiler controls have problem codes displayed.
