Too much pressure in our boiler
We have a Amtrol WH7L water heater and if it had an internal leak (Coil leaking) would that cause pressure to build in the boiler?

Originally the relief valve on the furnace was stuck closed and it built so much pressure that it filled the expansion tank with water, so we just replaced that tank. We tried shutting off the feed to the furnace and it is still building pressure, today we have shut the feed off to the Amtrol and it has built no pressure since this morning.
