Black smoke pouring out of my water heater
First off my heater is a :Bock water heater C glass | model 32E | 32 gal| test pressure: 300psi | maximum input .75gph | recovery 112 gph | working pressure: 150| Installed in late 02
Step 1: my problem- First sign of a problem was 2 days ago later on in the day where i smelt a burning smell and couldnt figure out where it was coming from, it went away on and off and wasnt to bad. fast forward to yesterday I took a nap after work in my basement and woke up to that smell again barely able to breathe (immediatly turned on my Austin Healthmate and opened all the windows up) Still puzzled as to where it could be coming from I take a shower later on that day and bam i look at the water heater and its now pouring out black smoke at the inspection door.
step 2: Diagnosing the problem- I took off the flue and its filled with black sout obviously so i clean it out and vacuum it all out and reinstall. Nope pours out even worse so what i think is wrong with it is since bock has a single cell flue tank i looked down that pipe and their "Turboflue" is just packed with sout so i think thats the problem.
step 3: FIX IT!!!!!- I tried taking a piece of metal and bending it at the top like a hook and remove the "turboflue" but the thing just wont budge, Is there a special way to take this thing off?
Also there was a metal cap that went in the middle of the "turboflue" that when i took off was packed with sout but i could see down at the bottom of the tank where the motor is, Could i keep this off hook the flue back up and see if it will vent out through the center hole to reassure my diagnosis is correct?
Thank you for any help in advance, Im trying to save some money up by fixing it myself obviously but if it comes to it, Ill hand it over to the pros.

nelly, this is an oil fired water heater... you can clean out all the soot you want but without fixing the problem (which is that the oil burner is not burning properly) it will soot again.
You need to turn that water heater OFF and call a technician.
