One thing no one seemed to mention here.
You can easily change the entry point in the chimney.
Just push the liner up a bit make a new hole above the existing hole and pull the liner thru. Block up the old hole and your done.

Probably a little late eh !!!

I seriously considered doing just that. The 12 degree outside temps, plus the fact that it was drafting vary hard convinced me that it worked and I didn't need to screw with it.
