calculating heat loss...

I have a large master bedroom with 2 walk in closets and a full size bath that I'm trying to do a heat loss on with the slantfin heat loss calculator. When entering room dimensions as a whole(approximately 38x28), I get a 40k total heat loss. When I calculate each room individually and add the 4 rooms up, I get a heat loss of under 30k. Is this correct? Do the partitions make such a difference? Thanks for any comments.

I assume by partitions you mean interior walls as opposed to walls between an conditioned and unconditioned space. A room by room heat loss is normally a bit more accurate than a whole house but on a room that size it should be negligible.
