circulator size

I would like to know what size circulator pump I need. I have a buderus G115 oil fired boiler feeding 4 zones plus domestic hot water each zone has it's own Taco 007 pump and I want to supplement it by tying in a new Harmon 160 wood/coal boiler I already have 1-1/4" and 1" valves and fittings on the buderus manifolds. They will be right next to each other so probably know more than ten feet of pipe. Will a Taco 007 be big enough to go between boilers or do I need something bigger.

If you simply connect the two boilers in parallel, half of the flow needed by the circulators will come from each boiler. That 's half hot, half cold water. More than a circulator is needed. A check valve will keep the cold water flow from going through the inactive boiler. Worst case will call for a pump with the capacity of all the 007's taken together; but that will be reduced by the flow resistance of the loops (head ft equivalent of the pipe length and fittings). Hope this helps.
