LARRS Mini-Therm JVT100 can't keep the pilot light on

hi, all.

I have Laars Mini-therm JVT100 hot water boiler, 8 years old. after one local technician replaced thermocouple connected with the pilot light, the flame sometimes went off. He suggested we replace it with a new JVS075 boiler. But I think we could fix the problem. I really appreciate it if you could me some suggestions. Thanks!

I don't know why the pilot light goes out, especially since the thermocouple was replaced. Is the pilot light adjusted properly? Maybe the gas valve?

But to suggest that the boiler be replaced is, in my opinion, not ridiculous - it's criminal. Fire that guy. Once, used-car salemen were the butt of jokes. Now, I think it should be boiler salesmen/repairmen. Now that fewer heating boilers are being used, there is less competition and more crooks in the business.
