Boiler Pilot will not light at all.

We have a gas boiler. It's not old, we replaced the thermo couple about 3 years ago. I can hear water going through it, ( no leaks). The pilot is out so when I tried to light the pilot I tune the dial to pilot pushed the little red button and I can hear the gas so I know that there is gas going to it. But I cna't get it to light AT ALL. If I could get to light and it wouldn't stay lit I would think we need to change the Thermo Couple again but it won't even light... IDK what it could be.

Why do you suppose the pilot went out in the first place?

Do you have other gas appliances in the home? are they working properly?

I'm wondering if the gas company was working on something, they may have introduced a slug of 'air' into the line?
