Just had BOILER cleaned and TECH said there is low draft?

So, I just had my oil fired boiler serviced to get ready for the season. I was not here, but my wife was. The tech. indicated to my wife that there was a low draft at the boiler chimney, something about 3.0? Can some one shed some light on what this means? FWIW, it was a warm day when the tech was here. THANKS!

If the draft was in fact 3.0 he would not be saying it was low.

Time of season and the temperature does have a significant effect on draft and you seem to have surmised.

Did the tech leave a printout of the combustion analysis results?

Can you call him and get a first hand report of what the draft actually was?

Tell us what make/model boiler you have.

Some boilers are OK with low draft...

NJ TROOPER,

Unfortunately, I was not here when the TECH. was here. I do not have a printout of the analysis, but I will attempt to get one. It is a Peerless Boiler with a Riello head.
