Parallel boiler hook up.

Hello everyone, I am buying a coal/oil boiler and I want to run it parallel with my existing boiler.

To plumb it in wouldn't it be as simple as hooking the supply line into the existing supply line before the expansion tank, and then hook the return line right after the circulation pumps?

What's the make / model# of the unit you purchased? Pictures of your current system configuration would be helpful.

The WL100 instructions said to read the Axeman Anderson boiler manual for plumbing instructions. So we will do that

They want to ensure a 25 degree temperature differential with either a primary secondary loop or by running a continous circulator.

They're still working on adding literature on their site...

Anyway, it goes on to say that for multiple boiler installations to consult the factory.

I would get on the horn and talk to an engineer there and have him send you more info on suggested piping that will meet their listing requirements.

Hi Andrew, please rotate the pics before uploading. I spilt my beer when I turned my monitor on it's side!

I'm with boilernut... call the factory and get their recommendations and we'll go from there.
