Triangle Tube boiler loses pressure only when I lower the temp on the stat

I have a 6 yr old TT boiler. I have an old house with cast iron radiators and convectors. The system works great except when I go on vacation and lower the set temp from 70F to 60F. The system ALWAYS depressurizes. I dont know why or how. I cannot find a leak. this has ben going on for 4 yrs. When I come home, I add water to the system and everything is fine.

Any thoughts on why it'd depressurize ONLY when I lower the set temp on the stat?? This has happened numerous times and never happens otherwise. It's frustrating.

Sorry, I don't, but I didn't want your post to go unanswered.

What's the condition of your expansion tank? when was the last time it's air charge was checked?
