Finally got new boiler installed
They came and installed my new boiler and its been running for about a week. Its a Peerless Purefire PF-50. I have it set to run 120 water temp for now. Its been running for 1 week I noted today that there have been 22 ignitions and the total run time is 52 hrs. Its been in the low 40s and 30s here last night it got down in the teens. This morning it was chugging away at 50% output and 120. House toasty warm at 72. Are the burns too long at around 2 hrs+?
I have used 2500 cubic feet 0f gas according to the meter.

that's 168 hours... 2557500 / 168 = about 15K BTUH average.
Seems high for VA this time of year.
How many sq ft you said your home is?

My 29-day bill for the period ending November 7 was $82.13 for 144.56 therms. In addition to space heating, I also use gas for grilling, cooking, water heating, and clothes drying.
1 therm = 100,000 Btu.

1516 sq ft.
so now if it seems high how do I tweak it? I just lowered the output temp to 120 2 days ago to see if I could heat at that temp which it does. Delta T may be low as this am, it was showing 120 supply at 51% input and return of 109.
I wonder if the old thermostat may need replaced or the anticipator adjusted. It is overshooting a few degrees before shutting down the heat.

Initially you said "... running for about a week ..." If more than the 7 days I calculated, better even...

Consider that if you were to run room temperature water through the system, your DT would be 0° because there would be no 'motivation' for that water to give up any heat. The hotter the water is, the more 'driving force' there is, and the more heat is given up, and the DT increases.
So, that part seems normal to me.
I need to look at the manual for your boiler and see what settings you have and what you may be able to 'tweak' to fine tune... will do that later... or sooner if you can find a link to the manual so I don't have to look for it!

Try this Trooper. And Thanks in advance.
By the way the boiler is piped direct. No pri/sec. Peerless said it was OK as there is no zoning.
B&G NRF-22 circ pump on return side.
