Grundfos Alpha Hammering

I replaced an old circulating pump with the Grundfos Alpha 15-55FR. Now when the thermostat kills the boiler and pump, the pipes rattle as the water comes to a stop. Is this water hammering? Is there anything I can do?

(This is a single zone system with no zone valves)

I don't think I would ever describe water hammering as a " ...rattle... "

Can you 'localize' the sound to one particular area? or does the sound transmit through the home along the piping?

Usually watter hammer would be like one BANG! and then maybe a smaller 'bounce' afterward...

"Rattle" to me connotes a different sound.
