Low water pressure

On month vacation,I shut off my well in case a busted pipe in house,my neighbor checked my house a week later and for some reason looked at boiler and noticed 0 pressure on boiler although had heat in house,he turned on water and boiler filled and pressure went to 20 pounds, sounds like a leak but no obvious water leaks anywhere, any ideas?? What happens if no pressure and boiler keeps running?? Thanks in advance

Depending where the leak is, if it's below the boiler, like the basement where the water could drain completely out you could end up with a cracked boiler. If it's above the boiler there would be no heat.

Just make sure he checks it later tonight or tomorrow. You may definitely have a leak and if that's the case you don't want to come home to a new indoor pool.
