saw old thread and thought you could help

Good morning,

Was reading a couple of threads where you were trying to help someone with 3 heating zones (plus one for hot water) who was having trouble getting heat to 2 of the zones..... ok so my problem..... 4 zones plus one for hot water...... zone on lowest level same as boiler gets air bound and when the thermostat calls for heat the system 'knocks' I know how to drain the line and do so till the radiator heats up and it is fine for long periods of time as long as I keep the zone running. After the zone has not been active for a couple of days it will again become air bound. How can I prevent this from reoccurring .... thank you in advance for your advise ....NoviceInNy

Hi Nov, tell us more...

Make/model of the boiler, type of heat emitters ( fin-tube baseboard, cast iron radiators ), how they are piped if you know ( if not, we'll help you figure it out )

Do you know if you have electric zone valves and one pump, or multiple pumps, one for each zone?

Can you post pictures of the system so we can see what you've got?
