Copper / NPT Adapters

What is the difference between these two?

male street adapter

copper x male adapter

My guess is the street adapter is just like a piece of pipe. Is this correct?

The male street adapter unthreaded end fits INSIDE a 3/4" fitting. Note that it says

"3/4" FTG x Male Street Adapter"

That FTG is the key... 'Street' fittings have one end as FTG size.

In other words, the unthreaded end is the same diameter as the OD of a 3/4" copper pipe.

The copper X male goes on the OUTSIDE of a pipe. In other words, the pipe fits into the fitting.
