New to boilers

Hey guys been looking and learning just curious what u all think this is the set up of my boiler.

How to Re-charge a Hot Water Boiler Expansion Tank

Sry that images don't work. But from reading it seems kinda backwards shouldn't the expansion tank be on the suction. ? O it has 3 zone valves. On the supply side like the pic shows just No flow valves.

That is the old timers way to plumb it.
Dates back to when the circulator shaft packings could not take to high of heat.

It will work that way, but if the pressure gets to low for whatever reason then you might start drawing air into the higher level rads.

so for a easy fix without doing a bunch of piping. switch the pump around, air scoop and zone valves should do it? does it matter with the zone valves are on the return side??

First off are you having issues with your boiler? Boilers have been piped that way for ions.. unless you have some pressure related issues due to the pump and exp tank location, just leave it...
