Aquastat question regarding differential temp

I have a 3 zone baseboard heating system in a 1800 sq. ft. 2 story home in upstate NY. The cold start gas boiler has a Honeywell aquastat with a fixed differential of 8 degrees. Would an upgrade to a stat with adjustable differential temps make sense?

Only if you are having issues with the system short cycling. In some cases a wider differential can solve this issue.

Short cycling would occur if your boiler was grossly oversized.

Aquastat question regarding differential temp

Thanks NJ Trooper, I thought that maybe it was too narrow a differential. According to the boiler parts list, it was supposed to have a stat with 15* diff, but somewhere along the line, either factory or dealer, it was changed to one with 8* diff.
Thanks again for your advice.
