No hot water all on a sudden

We moved in a house one week back. For 1 week, we were getting hot water. All on a sudden, no hot water supply. We have Amtrol- Boilermate heater that's connected to a oil furnace. This is what I tried:
1. Checked that all circuit breakers are on "ON" position in the main panel
2. Checked that oil tank is almost full
3. Checked that power switch on furnace is "ON"
4. Pressed the reset button on the furnace couple of times, but no change
5. Set thermostat to "heat" position and set temp to 75 to call for heat (room temp 65 or so)
6. Set Fan position to "on" on thermostat, but I didn't see any changes

I am planning to do after I go home
1. press the reset button for 60 sec and see what happens
2. check all the visible fuses on boiler (I do not know yet where to look for fuses yet)

I have a multimeter to measure volt, resistance. my experience level is beginner. Thanks for your help in advance.

Tell us the make and model of the boiler.

5. Set thermostat to "heat" position and set temp to 75 to call for heat (room temp 65 or so)
In step 6 you said you didn't see any changes... is it safe to presume that's a 'blanket' statement for all of the above? That nothing at all happened when you set the thermostat to 'heat' and turned it up?

No hot water

Is there an emergency switch that could have inadvertently been turned off? I've seen many that were accidentally turned off because someone thought it was a light switch.
