I have a brand new boiler and indirect water tank (as of April 2014) and with my two heating zones off all summer, I find that my boiler is still running every 2-3 hours just for hot water demands and I'm not using that much hot water, two showers a day and one bath at very different times during the day. It is a cold start boiler and is supposed to be very efficient for oil boilers (87.2%). The indirect hot water tank claims to be an instantaneous indirect water heater and was recommended by the installer. Specs: Boiler: Biasi B10-5 Indirect Tank: Turbomax 23 (26 gallon). The current settings on the Ranco control (attached to the indirect) are: High limit: 150F Differental: 15F The installer recommended 180F, but I feel that makes the boiler even run more and 120F leaves us with cool showers. As for the boiler it reach about 182F after it kicks on and after being off for a while, right before it kicks on it reached about 130F. I believe this boiler is running too much and the installer doesn't know the answer. He will check with the manufacturers. Am I missing something? I was under the impression that the new boiler would run maybe once or twice a day and really only with a hot water demand. Instead, it is running 8-12 times a day with and without hot water demand, all with the heat off (for now). Any help here would be awesome! Thanks in advance.

I have just bought a house built in 1996 that has an in-floor radiant heat system. We had to put in a new boiler and now I need some verification that I have wired the thermostat/actuator/controller correctly. I am attaching some pictures and a diagram to depict the situation I have as it is now. I am a bit concerned because the central heating call seems to be cycling pretty quickly every 5 minutes or so even though the zones are not calling for heat. (Near as I can tell anyway.) I have several questions but I'd like to start with simply: Is the wiring correct in the wiring diagram I am attaching?
