Single Pipe Steam System - No Main Vents?

I've been giving my steam system a visual check and in turn reading online about proper maintenance. I read an article that made mention of how main line vents are important for the efficiency of a steam system.

I HAVE NONE!!! My boiler has two steam mains. One essentially goes to the three radiators on the left side of the house, the other to the three radiators on the right side of the house. Just straight runs all the way....no vents.

Would installing vents help me save alot of money? How much more efficient would this make the system? For what its worth everything seems to be operating just fine at the moment.

Thanks!

Hi Big, we do get spoiled with the frequent fast response, but don't be discouraged, they are just busy. I can't help, but wanted to show we are watching.

Yes... what Bud said... and FYI... 'fresh' comments aren't likely to help your cause.
