Wirsbo Manifold-Pipe Connection O-ring Size

Name:  WirsboORing.jpg

There is a small leak, seemingly caused by a torn o-ring on the PEX connector (blue arrow), connecting pipe to Wirsbo manifold (see attachment). I can't seem to determine the size of the o-ring and a trip to the shop didn't help.

Would someone please tell me what size o-ring is required?

Not terribly familiar, but I believe this is what you are dealing with? Looks like there are two sizes, R20 and R25. Not sure what you've got there.

A4020500 - Uponor (Wirsbo) A4020500 - 1/2" QS-style Fitting Assembly, R20 thread

From the 'submittal sheet' that can be downloaded at the above link:

Accessories:
Replacement O-ring for insert, R20 (A4021116);
Replacement O-ring for insert, R25 (A4021000);
5/16" Compression Ring (A4160313);
⅜" Compression Ring (A4160375);
" Compression Ring (A4160500);
⅝" Compression Ring (A4160625);
" Compression Ring (A4160750)
That leak could also be at the compression ring I believe... yes, more likely the O-ring.

Here's the ring for the R20

A4021116 - Uponor (Wirsbo) A4021116 - Replacement O-ring for insert (R20)

and for the R25

A4021000 - Uponor (Wirsbo) A4021000 - Replacement O-ring for insert (R25)

Sorry, I was completely unclear. You are correct, I need the R20 (although I wasn't 100% certain that identifier was for the o-ring rather than the connector). I can't translate that into the sizes available at the shop. All sizes are given with three sets of numbers pertaining to measurement and no one there knows of an 'R20' or any similar designation. I tried searching the web for sizes or Canadian supplier but no luck.

I would just buy a couple that looked correct if there weren't so many fitting that description. I would try taking it apart but there is no pipe to spare so that might result in a bigger problem.

I appreciate it, thanks,
Jim

I see... you want to buy them locally in a 'stock' size, so you are looking for the ID , OD, and thickness of the ring...

Other than taking one apart and measuring, unless you can get that information from Wirsbo, you may be outta luck.

Why not just purchase the replacements? I'm sure you can find heating supply up your way that can supply the Wirsbo part number...

I live on an island with a small population and can't find them so I will take your advice and try to order A4021116 from a online heating supply source.

It's odd, I was trying this earlier and all searches seem to go back to Uponor Canada where I can't locate specific product details or suppliers. I'm obviously missing something and will continue my search.

Thanks again,
Jim
