Priority DHW

I currently have the switch for my indirect DHW zone of the Taco box set to priority. Are there any opinions out there as to keeping it like this, or taking the priority off?

Reason I ask is because I notice sometimes, when there is DHW demand as well as heat demand, when the DHW is satisfied, the boiler will shut down, but then kick back on right off to deal with the heat demand.

You really only need the priority on if the boiler is too small to handle reheating the DHW tank AND providing heat for a space heating call. If your tank seems to recover in an adequate amount of time even when there is a simultaneous heat call, then you can switch priority off.

Thanks NJ, that's what I suspected, just wasn't 100% sure. Maybe I will try it out and see how it goes.
