air vent question

I was reading about air vent problem today[2561]I have only 1 air vent on top boiler [weil mclain wtgo-4].I have 2storys all cast iron rads.I have no trbl with air.Is this unusual?the site is good today w/o all the ad stuff.loc

Not at all unusual. Some boilers are arranged so that the air is released inside the boiler and if yours is one of these then the single air vent on the boiler is all that is normally needed. You should have manual air vents on the radiators to allow bleeding air during an initial fill. Once bled of air the boiler vent should handle any air that is entrained in the make-up water, which should be none as long as the system is tight.
