Radiator leaking

Hello!

We had our radiator restored and now it's leaking. The water is coming out on the radiator side of the bolt where it attaches to the floor pipes. (Sorry--- don't know terminology.) We had the tape on it. Maybe not enough? And we had it tightened all the way with no thread left.

Are there ever washers used when hooking up a radiator? Any other ideas?

Thank you so much!

Is it a steam system? What kind of tape? Can you post a wide angled picture, of the radiator?

Tape vs putty

You mention tape, did you use teclon tape? Someone else will have to weight in or you can research it but I think you need to use pipe sealant I use this

We used teclon tape but it didn't work. Here are photos. It's leaking on the right side (radiator side) of the bolt that attaches to the floor pipe.

It is steam heat.

It's leaking from the radiator side of the bolt. Is there a washer or 0-ring that could have fallen out during restoration?

Thanks everyone for your help!
