How can i affix a marble shelf to a radiator (childproofing)?

We have radiator heat with marble slabs on the top. But we've also recently had a kid and need to child proof the house. i'm wondering if there are any good ways to affix a marble slab to the top of a radiator in a way that will look good and prevent the kid from pulling it down on top of himself!

L brackets to the wall should work. Put one on each end.

If your radiators are hollow from the cross section, you could drill small holes in the end and run a cable/wire through the middle or hooked around the back to discretely secure them without visible brackets.

But won’t you see the wires forming loops over the marble – one wire loop at each end?

I would fasten a long narrow block at the right height on the wall such that the bottom back edge of the marble rests on the top of the block, while the front of the marble rests on the radiator. Then I would use a strong adhesive and fasten the bottom of the back edge of the marble to the top of the block.
