Welcome to the forums.
There should be a gray box on the front of the boiler. It is the aquastat. Its job is to maintain a certain low water temperature (+/- 140°) in the boiler for domestic water and to limit the high water temperature in heating mode.
Can you shoot a few pictures and post them of your boiler setup. You could turn the power off to the boiler, remove the cover to the aquastat and post a pic of the insides of that too.

yes, a 5 zone system, left zone on the panel is for domestic, it was green when i took the pict, why is the red lit also? 4 zones on the wall for heat, i dont know where the zone valve is for domestic, is it the same type of zone as heat!

could it be the the thermostat in the boiler mate? however i have touched those wires together before and it didnt make a diff, and it does react to temp adjustment settings. the single top left zone valve does wire to the left circuit on the control board, but the location of the zone valve confuses me because it is before the heating zone valves on the main ht wtr line to the heating zones.

The green light on means the zone is calling for heat. That means the tank stat is working.
The red light on below that means the zone valve is activated.
We just need to determine why when the zone is active and we don't have the burner.
If you disable that zone... pull off one stat wire... do you hear a zone valve close ?

The end switch on the zone valve fires the boiler. You need to check the end switch leads with a multi-meter to verify..
If the t stat on the boiler mate is opening the zone, but boilers not firing, then that would be my best guess..
Probably will need to replace zone valve..
Sometimes they get corroded internally and cant open all the way to trip the end switch.

yes, when i dosconnect a wire the zone valve closes, at one point the boiler lit, then shut rite back down. the green light red light are lit, faucet on for around 3 minutes and boiler dosent fite. water is hot, so it must have fired sumtime while we were gone. how long normally does it take to fire the boiler when using the ht water? thx for your efforts

It will open the zone and fire when the t stat gets below set point...
Here
Lower t stat under gray cover and see if zone valve opens.. It should call for heat too. If no zone valve faulty I would say...
