Room keeps getting to hot

I have 3 zones in my house running off of one thermostat its been like this since day one (14 years ago). I hooked it up like this because I don't use two of the zones that much. The problem that I am having started last year one of the zones keeps getting hot. I changed the entire zone valves and the one zone still keeps getting hot. PS the zone that's getting hot is not the zone where the thermostat is located in that's controlling the heat

 

Welcome to the forums.

Since you changed the valve it's doubtful it's getting stuck open. That leaves a wiring problem.
Is the valve actually open ? Most have a lever on them that mechanically opens it. If the handle moves easily... the valve is powered up.

Try disconnecting the wiring and see if it closes.
Don't allow the wires to touch when removed from the valve.

 

Ok I have four wires two red and two yellow coming out of the Honeywell zone valve does it matter witch wire I disconnect ? Also do I do it while the furnace is running or off

 

Just disconnect the two yellow wires. It's low voltage so you can do it with the system powered. If the valve is electrically activated you'll hear it close as soon as 1 wire is disconnected. Don't let the wires touch each other or ground.

 

Ok since your last reply it was warm enough that I did not need to turn the heat on. Friday night I turned the heat on (without doing anything with the wires) and it worked fine in the zone where the thermostat is not controlling the heat. So Saturday I wake up and the room temp was fine. But the zone where the thermostat is the temp was almost 80 and the thermostat was set at 68 so I turned the heat off. last night I turned the heat on and the zone that controls the heat was fine but the other zone started getting hot again so I turned the heat off. last year it would do the same thing and then it would work fine for a month and start all over again. That's why I changed the zone valves. Do you think it might be the thermostat or the aquastat or even the circulator pump?

 

Maybe, no and no.

It can't be the aquastat or pump if one zone is ok as those parts are shared and run both zones.

You need to see if the zone valve is open. I explained that previously.
