Adding radiators to radiant system

We bought a 2700 Sq ft log house that has radiant heat in the daylight basement, pellet stove upstairs. It has a boiler upstairs with separate circuits for the closed radiant heat and the domestic taps. The upstairs master is at the opposite end of the house from the pellet stove, and running electric heaters is a little expensive.

What I'm wondering is whether I could install a couple of radiators upstairs (in master bed and bath) fed by pex from the manifold. From the layout, I'd have to rip a lot of drywall, but it could be done.

Depending upon the layout of the house (floor plan) you could introduce another zone from the boiler and feed the lines through baseboard enclosure units to supply hot water to the bedroom.

Yes you can, but it needs to be piped that the radiant is low temp and the baseboard being a hi temp loop... Do a google search...Its a specific piping scheme

It's a 72 gallon Bradford White CDW275T10SX. Works great, very efficient, uses minimal propane.

Your using a water heater for a radiant heat zone?

You need to take pics.. I cant suggest anything.. You'll be hard pressed to get sufficient heat out of baseboard addition due to water temp restrictions..

Your best off installing a small separate heater in the intended zone and put heater/boiler in attic of closet if enough makeup air is available..
