Boiler refilling

Just installed a new pump on my boiler. How long should it take to fill up so I can turn my boiler on. I open up the air bleed valves every once in a while and bleed out the air but still no water after 3 hours. Boiler is in the basement and 6 radiators on 1st floor. Should I leave air valve open? Is it normal to wait this long for it to fill? About 50 gallons drained out if that helps.

Is it just a 1 Floor Dwelling ?

Maybe your "fill valve" (or PRV - pressure reducing valve) valve is stuck shut and you'll have to manually fill the Boiler by holding the PRV Lever open.

You' should hear water entering the system until it reaches 12-15 PSI.
