Pressure gauge on boiler
i have a bunch of posts cant find them? i replaced chamber unit relief valve and pressure gauge furnace has been working fine.i noticed gauge goes up to 30 psi.seem high. this is a 1986 dunkirk steam furnace thanks for any help

Found your old posts. Your relief valve should go off at 15 PSI. As previously mentioned you do not need any more than 2 PSI in to run your boiler. Your boiler is a 1984 Dunkirk as stated in an older post.
Pics would be helpful if possible to see the equipment.

If your boiler is a steam boiler and the steam pressure is actually raising to 30 psi with a 15 steam safety valve, which is the correct pressure rating for a steam boiler, it is time to have someone fix this problem immediately and I mean right now, before this boiler hurts you or your family. This is what we call a "run away boiler" and it is very dangerous.
