Abandon Weil McClain Tankless Hot Water Heater

Hey guys, I have a Weil McClain boiler and the prior homeowner installed a tankless coil. Right now it is hooked up but the inlet and outlet valves are closed. We have a regular hot water heater we use and one of the fittings on the tankless coil has developed a small drip so I want to remove the piping and abandon it.

Is this as simple as just removing the piping and draining the coil?

Do I need to remove the coil?

Should I plug the 1/2" inlet and outlet?

Thanks, much appreciated!!

You can just leave the coil in place as long as the plate or any of the bolts holding it aren't leaking . If the coil does not leak now, it might leak ever, if the boiler water isn't too acid.
