Burnham boiler series 2 model B issues

Hi all,

just moved into my new house and I went to start my boiler for the first time and no heat. So I went through all the starting procedures. Black knob on gas regulator to on. Turned thermostat to call for heat. All the gauges look like Iíve got plenty of water pressure. Itís an electronic igniter. And the pilot does light but the boiler does not light after and the pilot light shuts off. If I turn the power switch on and off 3 times fully going through the procedure it does light the boiler finally. Do you think the thermocouple is bad or the gas regulator?

Welcome to the forums.

On an intermittent pilot system there will not be a thermocouple. Typically the spark rod is used as a flame sensor to indicate when the pilot is lit. It could be a problem ignition module or a dirty pilot burner. If the pilot is not large enough the main burner won't light.

What ignition board is used in there ?
