Cb180 noritz combi boiler has a mind of its own...

So I installed this in a home i rehabbed and it works but does not seem to recognize the thermostat temp. It will turn on and off when you turn thermostat up or down... it just shuts down before it reaches temp. I have thermostat set to 70 and it will keep the room between 67-70 degrees have tried taking it up to 75 and it won't do it. House was rated for a 90k btu boiler this is rated up to 100k for heat. tried different thermostats and it seems to cycle to short and shut down before house reaches temp. Been all through the manual checked and double checked every setting....

Welcome to the forums.

A boiler will only heat the water to a certain temperature regardless of demand. It's very possible for the boiler to cycle while the thermostat is still calling for heat. The circulator should not stop however. Watching the boiler temperature should help you with that.

The boiler temp will also tell you if the boiler can't keep up with the house.

the boiler temp maxes out at 180... the outdoor temp sensor has the boiler making water at between 140 and 170
