Testing & Treatment of Water in Hot Water Heating Systems
Can anyone recommend a "primer" (Tutorial document) on treating the water used in closed-loop hot water heating systems?
Cheers,

If you are asking about a conventional residential hot water heating system, generally no treatment is required unless the original water quality is poor. In time the oxygen in the system will be driven out and the water becomes inert (i.e. will not support corrosion or rusting.)
Heating (solar) and cooling (chiller) heat exchangers that use glycol may require some water treatment. Some high efficiency boilers with aluminum heat exchangers may also require treatment.
Search Google for "water treatment closed loop heating".
