Concrete Sealing
#1

the contractor I hired to put in a concrete walk and patio came today to seal it. I saw him mixing the Diamond lacquer (sealer) with paint thinner and asked if alright. He said yes, and that he needed to do that so that his sprayer would work. He said if he didn't dilute the sealer that it wouldn't spray out good since sealer is thick and goopy. Turns out the mix didn't really give him what he wanted plus they used a roller anyhow. So it seems the thinner was a waste of time and the big question I have...will the paint thinner hurt in any way the stamped colored concrete ?

Concrete sealing
Hi,
If the concrete is cured (28 days), it is OK. Some sealers are solvent based, to be used with sprayers.
However, if your stamped concrete is colored, it is recomended test the sealer in a small piece to avoid problems.
Hope this helps,
