Question Cutting Brick To Install Door Please Help

Just thought i would quiz some experienced people before i tackle a big job. I am cutting a new hole to add a patio door. The house has 4" brick outside and 4" (i think) cinder block inside. Cutting the hole is not a problem. I would like help on how to suport the top while i install the lintel, steel i imagine would be best? Also, what will I attach the new door frame too being all block and no 2x4's, just furring strips to the drywall. Any help is appreciated, book suggestions also. I have shown a photo of the planned door area.

Cool

Cut the opening large enough to bolt pressure-treated 2X12 framing to the brick (4") and cinderblock (8") and under the steel lintel, and then install your door in the rough framing and trim it all out.
Use a masonry blade on a circular saw (wear eye protection and dusk mask), and finish the rough opening with a hammer and chisel.
Make certain that you're not cutting into any hidden electrical or water lines.
Good luck!
