Question New Addition Foundation

I just had the foundation done for my new addition. About a week after the contractor was done, I noticed about half of the area inside of the foundation was damp.

Does anyone know if this is this a problem or a potential problem in the future?

The water could be from many sources. The picture is quite helpful. Thanks for including it.

I suspect that it would be worthwhile to consider where it originates and planning to control it as you would with gutters along the roof's eave. It appears to be coming from a source across from the house. Look to see if there is an uphill area that may be draining into the foundation. Look for other sources of water. Having found any, you can plan for grading, drains, or whatever to keep the moisture off of the foundation wall. It would be better to nail this down before you get any further into the finishing of the project.

Hope this helps.
