siding to brick

What would I use to make a foundation to support the brick I intend to replace my aluminum siding with. The existing foundation does not come out far enough to place the brick onto?

Ordinarily, the brick ledge is built into the foundation when it is poured. You could probably have the foundation excavated and a brick ledge added to the existing foundation.

It seems like a more achievable goal to use cultured brick to apply as siding. It is much lighter than brick and is applied with adhesive. It would not require a brick ledge to support the ponderous weight of brick.

Here is a link to installing cultured brick.

Hope this helps.
