Repair of Concrete Driveway

My driveway has large "buckles" in it caused by tree roots ( I assume). It is a 25 year old house, and I do not find any type of rebar, just the concrete. The worse area is next to a huge red oak tree. I really do not want to take the tree down. Can I remove the cocrete, redo the area in bricks or with the pavers that allow grass to grow through, and have some success?

sounds like you gotta get rid of the tree or it will eventually do it again.
