Demolishing red brick

Around the entire front bottom half of my house is a brick surround type of thing. It goes from the dirt, up to just beneath the window, and goes around the whole front of the house.

This is NOT original to the house, which was built in '65. ORiginally, it had just wood siding on the bottom half, until some owners sometime put up the brick over the wood.

Then some tasteless folks came along before me and painted all of those bricks red white and green. I'm done with them, I don't even want to waste my time sandblasting, I simply don't like the way they look.

What is the easiest approach?? There is a WHOLE lot of bricks.

I was just going to go pick up a couple of sledge hammers, a couple of friends, and a few twelve packs of beer.

Some people think I am crazy. These bricks have got to come down. My father says I should take them down more constructively so to save the bricks. Whatever.

ALL suggestions welcome!!

You could peel a lot of it off with a pry bar. Plan on a large, strong container for the demolished brick. There will be a lot of debris.
