Concrete or decomposed granite?

My landscape plan calls for walkways and a flagstone patio filled with decomposed granite. Contractors tell me I should use concrete instead, because the DG will track into the house and scratch my old hardwood floors. I live in an area where the temps are mild and there's not too much rain. I like the DG, but I can't tell if they're right, or if they just like to pour concrete. Any ideas?

you only track stuff into a house if you wear your shoes inside.

If you walk across any kind of pad before entering, you could use a walk off mat or door mat to keep any debris outdoors. I have a crusher run driveway. Nothing gets inside unless it tracks on the sides of wet shoes or dogs.
