Guess on stone weight

Anyone have a good guess on what a yard of 2A modified would weigh. I am doing an area in pavers and figured out i would need about 4 ton of stone for the base. Went to the local landscape place to pickup 2A and they said it was about 1ton a yard. I made 2 trips of 1.5 yards in the F250 and i have the
proper ammount of stone already. I suspect they were full of crap on the 1ton weight since i have never made my f250 sit low in the back with leaf springs all the way around. And 1.5 yards sure did that.

Loose, dry gravel weighs 1522 kilograms per cubic meter, or 3348 pounds per cubic yard, according to some table I found. So a yard would weigh about 1.5 tons. A yard and a half would go about 2.25 tons. I recall that a yard of crusher run made my F150 ride smoothly.

Thanks, guess i was right in suspecting they were wrong. The 2A modifed was wet also, we had .5" of rain overnight. The F250 rode good, i just could tell by the suspension i had one heck of a load on compaired to the last time i hauled over a ton. That and the fact my 4" drop hitch got awfully low.
