Cool Outdoor front steps

I resently removed my front wrought iron railings from my front steps as they were rusted at the bottoms and ready to fall. I then filled in the holes with cement. The problem is, I have rust stains around some of the holes. I've tried various solutions, but nothing works. Do they sell a stain or something for the flagstone sections as this is where the original holes were and I'd like to cover them if I can't remove the rust?
I don't plan on installing new railings now as I like the open look.

Your assistance is appreciated.

Thanx.

You might try lemon juice or one of the commercial products such as CLR, available at HD and lowes.
