Covering concrete steps with bricks
I have a front step that is concrete...not in the best of shape but its ok. To add appeal to the front of the house I'm thinking about putting a layer of brick on top of the concrete step. Then continuing the brick on the walkway. Is this a good idea or one destined for disaster?

As long as the rise and depth of the steps meet code, you will have a functional step. It will probably look nice, but be sure that adding brick does not make it unusable.
