Question Building Wood Steps Over Cement Ones

HELP!
Can wood be used over cement steps [ steps need major repair on corners]
How would this be done? Lag bolts?
ANY ideas or help woould be appreciated.
Has anyone tried this yet?

You dont say how wide they are. Put a new riser on each side of the old steps and work from there . Use P/T wood for all of it .

Can't be done.

Adding any dimension of wood over already existing concrete or masonry steps will alter the code required riser heights and possibly the depths of the treads, make them a fall hazard, and potentially illegal against under acceptable building codes.

Repair or replace the masonry steps asap.
